Starting from and returning to School Lane Car Park, Newchurch, we will take an unhurried walk through Martins Wood before reaching the beautiful Eastern Yar Valley.
The walk follows the River Yar along the dismantled railway line to Alverstone Village. After the village the path leaves the river to the rich tapestry of habitats of the Eastern Yar Valley

We will walk at a leisurely pace that all can manage while improving our fitness and enjoying the sociable company.
